Art and Branding Director with Obsession for People's Fingernails

Dacey Villarreal has a wide range of professional art and design experience. She brings passion and creative vision to the Black Château team and has been instrumental in helping the company achieve several awards for website art direction and design projects.   

Among art disciples, she is particularly interested in painting, drawing, printmaking, encaustic and silk screen. She also proudly offers Devine Nails by Dacey, an artistic fingernail manicure system that replaces the need for salon manicures.

As an art educator with more than twenty years of experience, Dacey’s professional experience includes being an adjunct art professor at Bakersfield College, the head of the Visual and Performing Arts Department there as well as an art teacher at Independence High School, also in Bakersfield, California.

Dacey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art education from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and a Master’s in Fine Art from Academy of Art University, San Francisco, California.

She is a award-winning fine artist who has participated in group and solo art shows all over the United States. She has won numerous awards: the Best in Show at the It Isn’t Easy Being Green Exhibit in 2013, and Best Art Project in the Kern High School District in 2014. You may also find her artwork in Identify in Shades, Windom & Soul, for which she created the cover.

When Dacey is not in a studio or classroom, she is spending time with her family. Dacey is a mother of two, and lives with her family and husband in Bakersfield, California.
