Jingle Books: A Holiday Tradition for Booklovers

Annual Livestream Party Features Array of Authors Celebrating the Season with Books, Holiday Traditions, and Festivities

Los Angeles, California — Jingle Books, the annual bookish winter holiday celebration, happens Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm Pacific Time. The two-hour live event is streamed through Books That Make You’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel. The Jingle Books Facebook Group has more information and will host activities during the livestream. Jingle Books is free to attend and designed for booklovers to discover new books and celebrate the holiday season. There will be giveaways, games, and authors chatting, reading, and sharing bookish holiday traditions. 

The Jingle Books 2022 line-up includes: 

Sara Winokur, author of Double Blind and the forthcoming Ivory Bones, shares the Icelandic tradition of the 13 Yule Lads who play holiday pranks, how to make Laufabraud, and a lava-infused vodka cocktail  

Anika Savoy, Award-winning author of The Ghost in Her will share a recipe for Stewed Figs from The Cook Book by ‘Oscar’ of the Waldorf, first published in 1896. Sip wine sherry and enjoy the show 

Stuart Waldner, author of Escape the Meatrix, offers tips on navigating the holidays while maintaining a plant-based lifestyle  

Deborah Herman, author of Spiritual writing from inspiration to publication, will demonstrate automatic energy drawings while answering questions about spirituality and how to get published 

Steven Joseph, author of Snoodles, Kidoodles, Poodles and Lots and Lots of Noodles, will be doing a Preview of the sequel A Snoodle, the Zoodle Kidoodles, and One Happy Schmoodle: A Wackadoodle Tale from Outer Space 

E.A. Smiroldo, author of the cli-fi spy thriller The Silent Count, will read from the high-glam, high-drama New Year’s Eve party scene set at the Russian Embassy in Washington 

Clyve Rose, author of Stand & Deliver, will read from her newly-released novella which includes a regency holiday game to foretell the name of your greatest love – bring an apple to play along  

Chester L. Richards, memoirist, retired rocket scientist, adventurer, and romantic, will talk about how adventures enrich us and read a Christmas excerpt from: From The Potato to Star Trek and Beyond 

Geneve Flynn, Bram Stoker Award-winning horror author, editor, and poet, reads her Christmas-themed flash fiction Grandmother Rina and shares some uniquely Australian festive traditions  

Virginia Fox, author of Rocky Mountain Romances talks about the importance of family, home, and unity this time of year 

Beatrice Adenodi, author of Mindless Behaviors, discusses the masks we wear during the holidays and how uncovering our own mindless behaviors, we can have a happier and healthier holiday season
