The Book Publicists of Southern California award is named after Irwin Zucker, a legend in the book publicity and promotions industry, and founder of the BPSC. His dedication to the mission of the organization and promoting authors makes the annual event possible. Covid and social distancing protocols in Southern California did not stop Zucker from giving authors their moment in the spotlight to accept their prestigious award.

Zucker says, “We proudly adapted to our times and held annual the Irwin Awards online to an audience which included our dedicated members and honorees. As with every year, it is a privilege to salute authors and experts. Each was able to virtually accept their award and a good time was had by all. The authors have made a mark with their outstanding books and we’re thrilled to celebrate their success with them.”
